What is dry needling?
Dry needling is a technique used most commonly by chiropractors and physical therapists to treat pain and muscle tension. It involves inserting thin needles into trigger points in the muscles, which can help to release tension and improve blood flow. Treatments are not typically painful. These needles are eight times smaller than needles used for shots and vaccines. These solid needles do not inject fluid; they instead stimulate muscle tissues.

What is the difference between Dry needling and Acupuncture?

Acupuncture and dry needling are both techniques that involve the insertion of thin needles into the skin to relieve pain and promote healing. However, acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves the of specific points along the body's energy pathways (meridian lines), while dry needling is a Western medicine technique that targets trigger points injured/sore muscles etc. Additionally, acupuncture is often used to treat a wide range conditions, while dry needling is primarily used to treat musculoskeletal pain.
